Loch and River Fishing

Fly fishing on both Loch & River are available within easy reach of the hotel, whether you require a two day trip or a whole week. Trigony House Hotel started life as the hunting and fishing lodge for nearby Closeburn Castle, it maintains links with its past through the warm welcome it still extends to fishermen.
Fly fishing for Salmon & Sea Trout on 3 miles of the river Nith can be booked through nearby estates. Gillies can also be arranged to give tuition or just an introduction to the river. The season starts in spring with the Sea trout and goes on to the end of November with the Salmon, prices range from £30 – £55 per rod per day.

At Trigony we can arrange fly fishing on local Lochs for Rainbow trout & native Brown Trout in beautiful surroundings within easy reach of the Hotel, either on the bank or with a boat, from March until the end of November.
